Agribusiness Market Ecosystem Alliance (AMEA
The Agribusiness Market Ecosystem Alliance (AMEA) is a global network dedicated to accelerating the professionalization of farmer organizations. ANSAF in collaboration with partners, stakeholders and Business Development Services (BDS) providers in the agriculture sector, is facilitating implementation of the AMEA local network in the country which was endorsed in April 2024. AMEA’s integrates advocacy, evidence-based learning, and collaborations, positioning it as a catalyst for resilience and sustainability in the agri-SME landscape in the country.
The establishment of the AMEA Tanzania Network stems from a series of consultative meetings with stakeholders from local and international NGOs and Business Development Services Providers (BDSPs) who expressed a strong need for its establishment to accelerate the transformation of the agriculture sector and drive sustainable economic growth in Tanzania. The initiative aims to enhance the capabilities of smallholder farmers and Agri-SMEs through improved Business Development Services (BDS), aligning with Agenda 10/30. It provides a significant platform for collaboration and further efforts to enhance the professionalization of farmer organizations in Tanzania.

JUWAVITA was established as an outcome of long-term discussion on the need to strengthen engagement of SHPs and have a stronger voice on policy dialogue and decision-making platforms. The formulation of the forum started with a meeting of Civil Society Organization’s (CSOs) in April 2017 with support from IFAD and InterAction.
